Latina Women Affinity Group - From Access to Impact: Latinas Leading in the Boardroom
Thursday, Sept. 17 ⬥ 1:00 - 2:15 pm PT
Latinas remain significantly underrepresented in corporate boardrooms, despite bringing critical strengths in resilience, relationship-building, adaptability, and global perspective. In today’s evolving governance landscape, boards increasingly need leaders who can navigate complexity, foster collaboration, and bring multicultural insight to strategic decision-making.
This interactive session explores how Latinas can prepare for board service, amplify their voice in the boardroom, and leverage their lived experiences as a source of leadership advantage. The discussion will also address today’s boardroom realities, including increasing governance demands, heightened risk oversight responsibilities, evolving board expectations, the slowing momentum around DEI initiatives, and the growing importance of visibility, sponsorship, and strategic networks in securing board opportunities.
Through candid conversation, practical guidance, and personal stories, participants will gain insight into board readiness, governance expectations, cultural dynamics, networking strategies, and the distinctive value Latinas bring to both public and private boards.
