About the Event

Now more than ever, we are seeing the importance of finding new ways to lead and create social impact.

Join Jane Chen, Co-Founder & CEO of Embrace Innovations, for an interactive discussion on the design thinking process, a powerful framework for innovation. She will illustrate how she used the design thinking process to create the Embrace incubator, and the impact it has made in saving over thousands of babies around the world.

Jane will share the key leadership lessons she has learned over the last decade, particularly while working in extreme conditions -- lessons about resilience and optimism which are particularly applicable during this time in history. She will help participants to envision the current situation as an opportunity for growth and positive social change, rather than as a crisis.

Speaker:

Jane Chen is the co-founder & CEO of Embrace Innovations, which developed a ground-breaking infant incubator. The Embrace incubator costs  ~1% of a traditional incubator and is estimated to have saved over 300,000 babies across 22 countries. Jane was most recently featured in Verizon’s #FUTURIST Series.  Embrace has been featured in global media including the New York Times, CNN,  Newsweek, the Guardian and ABC's 20/20.

Jane was selected as one of Forbes' Impact 30 and as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. Jane is a TED Fellow, Echoing Green Fellow, and Rainer Arnhold Fellow.
