Women Leaders for World Program Director - How Women Lead

Job Title: Women Leaders for World Program Director

Details:  Full-time, flexible hours, remote work 

Compensation: $90,000 - $100,000 plus health insurance benefits

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

 

Overview:  How Women Lead (HWL) believes that everyone wins when women lead. We recognize the tremendous cost of leadership for women and are committed to providing leadership frameworks, sustainability and access to networks for women leaders throughout our programming. We are seeking a master facilitator who deeply understands adult learning methodologies, the demands of women leading and has deep expertise in building connected communities. This position requires expert skills in virtual, hybrid and in-person facilitation.  Respect for nonprofit leaders and women of color is paramount. In addition to facilitating programming, this role directs the Women Leaders for the World intensive fellowship that is offered 2-4 times a year for HWL. The director collaborates with and coordinates with  robust alumni, executive coach and global advisor communities; designing alliances, leadership programming. Ensuring sustained growth and community for these leaders is a priority. Disciplined program design and managing objectives is essential.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and facilitate programming for women’s leadership events and programs

  • Build fellow recruitment strategies and ensure robust demand for program attendance including building partnerships with foundation and association leaders

  • Inspire compelling marketing/communications in partnership with social media and marketing team

  • Build relationships with content experts in women’s leadership and nonprofits to invite to speak and write content

  • Create programming regarding nonprofit and women’s leadership; eg.  fundraising strategies and managing your board to be a strategic advantage

  • Recruit, inspire confidence, and build content for 100-200 senior women executives advising fellows annually

  • Design strategies, oversee implementation, and manage project budget for Women Leaders for the World program

 

Additional Expectations:

  • Attend selected How Women Lead events

  • Build and sustain relationships across the HWL community and with leaders, sponsors and donors

  • Act opportunistically to advance the brand and to unearth new business opportunities for HWL

  • Be ready to take initiative to dive in and do the work. You will be an implementer and executor of ideas as much as a work-flow and project manager.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Strong facilitation skills

  • An accomplished track record of at least 3-5 years in program management

  • Experience in building and managing partnerships

  • Knowledge and commitment to women’s issues or women’s leadership preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Applications

  • Familiarity with Salesforce a plus

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and ability to prioritize tasks and manage-up 

  • Ability to flourish in a fast-paced environment, enthusiasm for taking initiative and problem solving, and excellent judgment and decision making skills 

  • Stand out interpersonal skills, including a professional demeanor with senior leaders, and a great memory and ability to make connections with thought leaders and participants 

  • Management 

  • Proficient technology skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Access to a personal computer, printer, and phone 

  • Availability during regular business hours and occasional evenings and weekends

  • Availability to work remotely
